Pumpkins aren't just for pumpkin pie or basic pumpkin spice-flavored recipes. As a kid, I never really considered that pumpkins were edible. Sure, I ate pumpkin pie every Thanksgiving. But to be honest, I'm not sure I ever knew it was made from actual pumpkin. I drenched it in whipped cream so I couldn't really taste the pumpkin flavor. It was just a vehicle to get copious amounts of whipped cream into my mouth. Thanks, mom!
